About Shelley Anne Crawford
For most of my career I have sat across from people in moments of difficulty - leaders navigating conflict, coaches building capability, organisations trying to understand why trust keeps breaking down and what to do about it. What I have learned, across more than twenty years of coaching, supervision, and research, is that trust is not mysterious. It is an outcome of behaviour. And behaviour can be observed, measured and developed.
That conviction became The PACT® - a behaviourally grounded framework built on four dimensions of trustworthy behaviour: Predictability, Ability, Care, and Transparency. My first published book - The PACT®: Trust-Building Strengths Inventory — publishes in 2026.
Before PACT®, there was Jess®. The Jess® resilience-building model has been in practice for nearly a decade, with trained Jess® practitioners working across Ireland, the UK, Europe, Australia, Africa, and the USA. My second book - Jess®: Building Your Resilient and Happy Heart - brings the full framework, its five domains, and its practical tools together for the first time in print.
Both frameworks grew from the same place - a life lived at full intensity, through loss, recovery, and the stubborn refusal to stop building. I am currently completing a memoir - a true story of love, loss, and the wooden puzzle that became the Jess® model - which will be published following the Jess® book.
I am a Coaching Psychologist, EMCC Accredited Master Practitioner and Supervisor, and EMCC Global Lead QA Advisor and Assessor. I design and facilitate leadership development and coaching programmes internationally, and supervise coaches and coaching programmes at postgraduate level. I work primarily across Ireland and London.
I live on the Cornish coast, where the light changes hourly and the Atlantic reminds you daily that most things are smaller than they feel. It is the same coast that runs through the pages of all three of my books - and the place I return to between the work I do in Ireland and London, and my travels in the rest of the world.
If you want to talk about trust, resilience, leadership, or any of the messy, human things that sit beneath all three - I would be glad to hear from you.
Shelley and Caroline both write - And you can read more about trust, resilience, and the human things beneath both in Shelley’s Substack publication - Between the pieces and our LinkedIn publication - The Positivity Post.
